This Week at Cane Creek

The first blueberries of the season are arriving as well as the first tomatoes grown outside the hoop house. The farm is drying up (if you have ever been there you will know that the opposite is usually the problem) and seems to keep missing the isolated storms that soak nearby areas.

Here is a list of what we are getting this week:

• Summer Squash
• Green Onions
• Kale or Chard
• Green, Yellow, and Purple Beans
• Tomatoes
• Cucumbers
• Napa Cabbage
• Blueberries
• Potatoes

And here are a few things I plan on making:

• Summer Squash Goat-Cheese Custard
• Easy Refrigerator Pickles
• Shang Kimchi
• Green Bean and New Potato Salad
• Pizza Bianca with Goat Cheese and Greens
• Gorgonzola and Tomato Pizza
